1 Then I looked, and, behold, in the firmamentthat was above the headof the cherubimsthere appearedover them as it were a sapphirestone, as the appearanceof the likenessof a throne.2 And he spakeunto the manclothedwith linen, and said, Go inbetweenthe wheels, evenunder the cherub, and fillthine handwith coalsof firefrom betweenthe cherubims, and scatterthemover the city. And he went inin my sight.nthine hand: Heb. the hollow of thine hand3 Now the cherubimsstoodon the right sideof the house, when the manwent in; and the cloudfilledthe innercourt.4 Then the gloryof the Lordwent upfrom the cherub, and stoodover the thresholdof the house; and the housewas filledwith the cloud, and the courtwas fullof the brightnessof the Lord'sglory.nwent up: Heb. was lifted up5 And the soundof the cherubims'wingswas heardevento the outercourt, as the voiceof the AlmightyGodwhen he speaketh.6 And it came to pass, thatwhen he had commandedthe manclothedwith linen, saying, Takefirefrom between the wheels, from between the cherubims; then he went in, and stoodbesidethe wheels.7 And onecherubstretched forthhis handfrom between the cherubimsunto the fire that wasbetween the cherubims, and tookthereof, and putitinto the hands of him that wasclothedwith linen: who tookit, and went out.nstretched forth: Heb. sent forth
8 And there appearedin the cherubimsthe formof a man'shandunder their wings.9 And when I looked, behold the fourwheelsbythe cherubims, onewheelbyonecherub, and anotherwheelbyanothercherub: and the appearanceof the wheelswasas the colourof a berylstone.10 And as fortheir appearances, they fourhad onelikeness, as if a wheelhad been in the midstof a wheel.11 When they went, they wentupon their foursides; they turnednot as they went, but to the placewhither the headlookedthey followedit; they turnednot as they went.12 And their whole body, and their backs, and their hands, and their wings, and the wheels, werefullof eyesround about, eventhe wheelsthat they four had.nbody: Heb. flesh13 As for the wheels, it was criedunto them in my hearing, O wheel.nit was…: or, they were called in my hearing, wheel, or, galgal14 And every onehad fourfaces: the firstfacewasthe faceof a cherub, and the secondfacewasthe faceof a man, and the thirdthe faceof a lion, and the fourththe faceof an eagle.15 And the cherubimswere lifted up. This isthe living creaturethat I sawby the riverof Chebar.16 And when the cherubimswent, the wheelswentby them: and when the cherubimslifted uptheir wingsto mount upfrom the earth, the same wheelsalsoturnednot from beside them.17 When they stood, thesestood; and when they were lifted up, theselifted up themselves also: for the spiritof the living creaturewas in them.nof…: or, of life18 Then the gloryof the Lorddepartedfrom off the thresholdof the house, and stoodover the cherubims.19 And the cherubimslifted uptheir wings, and mounted upfrom the earthin my sight: when they went out, the wheels also werebeside them, and every onestoodat the doorof the eastgateof the Lord'shouse; and the gloryof the Godof Israelwasover them above.20 This isthe living creaturethat I sawunder the Godof Israelby the riverof Chebar; and I knew that they werethe cherubims.21 Every onehad fourfacesapiece, and every onefourwings; and the likenessof the handsof a manwasunder their wings.22 And the likenessof their faceswasthe samefaceswhich I sawby the riverof Chebar, their appearancesand themselves: they wentevery onestraightforward.
