1:12 Now I want you to know, brethrenbrothers and sisters, that my circumstances have turned out for the greater progress of the gospel,
1:13 so that my imprisonment in the cause of Christ has become well known throughout the whole praetorian guard and to everyone else,
1:14 and that most of the brethrenbrothers and sisters, trusting in the Lord because of my imprisonment, have far more courage to speak the word of God without fear.
1:15 Some, to be sure, are preaching Christ even from envy and strife, but some also from good willgoodwill;

2:6 who, althoughas He already existed in the form of God, did not regardconsider equality with God asomething thing to be grasped,
2:7 but emptied Himself, by taking the form of a bond-servant, and being madeborn in the likeness of men.
2:8 BeingAnd being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death,: even death on a cross.
2:9 For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name,
2:12 So then, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;
2:13 for it is God who is at work in you, both to willdesire and to work for His good pleasure.
2:14 Do all things without grumblingcomplaining or disputingarguments;

2:19 But I hope, in the Lord Jesus, to send Timothy to you shortly, so that I also may be encouraged when I learn of your condition.

2:28 Therefore I have sent him all the more eagerly, so that when you see him again you may rejoice and I may be less concerned about you.
2:29 Receive him then in the Lord with all joy, and hold menpeople like him in high regard;,
2:30 because he came close to death for the work of Christ, risking his life to completecompensate whatfor wasyour deficientabsence in your service to me.

3:7 But whatever things were gain to me, thosethese things I have counted as loss forbecause the sake of Christ.
3:8 More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them butmere rubbish, so that I may gain Christ,

3:15 Let us thereforeTherefore, asall manywho as are perfectmature, let’s have this attitude; and if in anything you have a different attitude, God will reveal that also to you as well;
3:16 however, let’s us keep living by that same standard to which we have attained.
3:17 BrethrenBrothers and sisters, join in following my example, and observe those who walk according to the pattern you have in us.
3:18 For many walk, of whom I often told you, and now tell you even weepingas I weep, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ,
3:19 whose end is destruction, whose god is their appetite, and whose glory is in their shame, who sethave their minds on earthly things.
3:20 For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ;
3:21 who will transform the body of our humblelowly statecondition into conformity with theHis glorious body of His glory, by the exertion of the power that He has even to subject all things to Himself.

4:17 Not that I seek the gift itself, but I seek for the profit which increases to your account.
4:18 But I have received everything in full and have an abundance; I am amply supplied, having received from Epaphroditus what you have sent, a fragrant aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to God.
