The Seven Bowls of God's Wrath

Then I heard a loud voice from the temple tellingpSee ch. 15:1 the seven angels, “Go andqPs. 79:6; Jer. 10:25; Zeph. 3:8 pour out on the earthrch. 15:7 the seven bowls of the wrath of God. ”

So the first angel went and poured out his bowl on the earth, and harmful and painfulsver. 11; Ex. 9:9-11 sores came upon the people who boretch. 13:16 the mark of the beast and worshiped its image.

The second angel poured out his bowl into the sea, anduch. 8:8 it became like the blood of a corpse, andvch. 8:9 every living thing died that was in the sea.

The third angel poured out his bowl intowch. 8:10 the rivers and the springs of water, andxEx. 7:17-20 they became blood. And I heard the angel in charge of the waters say,
yJer. 12:1; John 17:25 “Just are you,zch. 15:4 O Holy One,ach. 11:17; [ch. 1:4, 8; 4:8] who is and who was,
for you brought these judgments.

Forbch. 18:24; [ch. 13:15] they have shed the blood ofcch. 11:18 saints and prophets,
andd[Isa. 49:26; Luke 11:49, 50] you have given them blood to drink.
It is what they deserve! ”

And I heardech. 6:9 the altar saying,
“Yes, Lord God the Almighty,
fch. 15:3; 19:2; [Ps. 119:137] true and just are your judgments! ”

The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and it was allowed to scorch peoplegch. 9:17; [ch. 14:18] with fire. They were scorched by the fierce heat, andhver. 11, 21 they cursed the name of God who had power over these plagues.i[Dan. 5:22]; See ch. 2:21 They did not repentj[Dan. 5:23]; See ch. 11:13 and give him glory.

10 The fifth angel poured out his bowl onkch. 13:2 the throne of the beast, andlch. 9:2; Ex. 10:21 its kingdom was plunged into darkness. People gnawed their tongues in anguish 11 and cursedmch. 11:13 the God of heaven for their pain andnver. 2 sores.oSee ch. 2:21 They did not repent of their deeds.

12 The sixth angel poured out his bowl onpch. 9:14 the great river Euphrates, andqIsa. 11:15; 44:27; Jer. 50:38; 51:32, 36 its water was dried up,r[Isa. 41:2, 25; 46:11] to prepare the way for the kingssch. 7:2 from the east. 13 And I saw, coming out of the mouth oftch. 12:3, 9 the dragon and out of the mouth ofuch. 13:1 the beast and out of the mouth ofvch. 19:20; 20:10; [ch. 13:11, 14] the false prophet, threewch. 18:2 unclean spirits likex[Ex. 8:6] frogs. 14 For they arey[1 Tim. 4:1] demonic spirits,zSee ch. 13:13 performing signs, who go abroad to the kings of the whole world,ach. 20:8; [ch. 17:14; 19:19; 1 Kgs. 22:20] to assemble them for battle onbSee ch. 6:17 the great day of God the Almighty. 15 ( “Behold,cSee ch. 3:3 I am coming like a thief!dch. 3:2, 3; See Matt. 24:42 Blessed is the one who stays awake, keeping his garments on,ech. 3:18 that he may not go about naked and be seen exposed! ” ) 16 Andfch. 19:19 they assembled them at the place that in Hebrew is calledgZech. 12:11; See Judg. 5:19 Armageddon.

The Seventh Bowl

17 The seventh angel poured out his bowl intoh[Eph. 2:2] the air, and a loud voice came out of the temple, from the throne, saying,iSee ch. 10:6 “It is done! ” 18 And there werejch. 4:5; 8:5; 11:19 flashes of lightning, rumblings,1Or voices, or sounds peals of thunder, andkch. 6:12; 11:13 a great earthquakelDan. 12:1; Joel 2:2; Matt. 24:21 such as there had never been since man was on the earth, so great was that earthquake. 19 mch. 11:8 The great cityn[ch. 11:13] was split into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell, and Godoch. 18:5; [Ps. 74:18] rememberedpSee ch. 14:8 Babylon the great,qSee ch. 14:10 to make her drain the cup of the wine of the fury of his wrath. 20 AndrSee ch. 6:14 every island fled away, and no mountains were to be found. 21 Andsch. 11:19 great hailstones, about one hundred pounds each, fell from heaven on people; andtver. 9, 11 they cursed God foruEx. 9:23-25 the plague of the hail, because the plague was so severe.
