The Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Make two silver trumpets. Of hammered work you shall make them, and you shall use them forxIsa. 1:13; Joel 1:14; [Ps. 81:3] summoning the congregation and for breaking camp. And whenyJer. 4:5; Joel 2:15 both are blown, all the congregation shall gather themselves to you at the entrance of the tent of meeting. But if they blow only one, thenzch. 1:16; 7:2; Ex. 18:21 the chiefs, the heads of the tribes of Israel, shall gather themselves to you. When you blow an alarm,aver. 14; See ch. 2:3-9 the camps that are on the east side shall set out. And when you blow an alarm the second time,bver. 18; See ch. 2:10-16 the camps that are on the south side shall set out. An alarm is to be blown whenever they are to set out. 33 So they set out frompSee Ex. 3:1 the mount of the Lord three days' journey. And the ark of the covenant of the Lord went before them three days' journey, to seek outqPs. 132:8; Jer. 31:2 a resting place for them. 34 rSee Ex. 13:21 And the cloud of the Lord was over them by day, whenever they set out from the camp.

35 And whenever the ark set out, Moses said,sPs. 68:1, 2 “Arise, O Lord, and let your enemies be scattered, and let those who hate you flee before you. ” 36 And when it rested, he said, “Return, O Lord, to the ten thousand thousands of Israel. ”
