1 At that time, saiththe Lord, they shall bring outthe bonesof the kingsof Judah, and the bonesof his princes, and the bonesof the priests, and the bonesof the prophets, and the bonesof the inhabitantsof Jerusalem, out of their graves:2 And they shall spreadthem before the sun, and the moon, and all the hostof heaven, whom they have loved, and whom they have served, and afterwhom they have walked, and whom they have sought, and whom they have worshipped: they shall not be gathered, nor be buried; they shall be for dungupon the faceof the earth.3 And deathshall be chosenrather than lifeby all the residueof them that remainof this evilfamily, which remainin all the placeswhither I have driventhem, saiththe Lordof hosts.
4 Moreover thou shalt sayunto them, Thus saiththe Lord; Shall they fall, and not arise? shall he turn away, and not return?5 Why thenis this peopleof Jerusalemslidden backby a perpetualbacksliding? they holdfast deceit, they refuseto return.6 I hearkenedand heard, butthey spake not aright: no manrepentedhim ofhis wickedness, saying, What have I done? every one turnedto his course, as the horserushethinto the battle.7 Yea, the storkin the heavenknowethher appointed times; and the turtleand the craneand the swallowobservethe timeof their coming; but my peopleknownot the judgmentof the Lord.8 How do ye say, We arewise, and the lawof the Lordiswith us?
