1 Also I in the firstyearof Dariusthe Mede, evenI, stoodto confirmand to strengthen him.2 And now will I shewthee the truth. Behold, there shall stand upyet threekingsin Persia; and the fourthshall be farricher than theyall: and by his strengththrough his richeshe shall stir upall against the realmof Grecia.3 And a mightykingshall stand up, that shall rulewith greatdominion, and doaccording to his will.4 And when he shall stand up, his kingdomshall be broken, and shall be dividedtoward the fourwindsof heaven; and not to his posterity, nor according to his dominionwhich he ruled: for his kingdomshall be plucked up, even for others beside those.
5 And the kingof the southshall be strong, and oneof his princes; and he shall be strongabove him, and have dominion; his dominionshall bea greatdominion.6 And in the endof yearsthey shall join themselves together;
