The Wickedness of Judah

for the Lord has spoken:

but they have rebelled against me.

The oxj[Jer. 8:7] knows its owner,
and the donkey its master's crib,
but Israel doesj[Jer. 8:7] not know,
my people do not understand. ”

Ah, sinful nation,
a people laden with iniquity,
k[Matt. 3:7] offspring of evildoers,
children who deal corruptly!
They have forsaken the Lord,

The whole head is sick,

they have become a burden to me;
I am weary of bearing them.

I will hide my eyes from you;

remove the evil of your deeds from before my eyes;

The Unfaithful City

How the faithful city

Righteousness lodged in her,
but now murderers.

22 t[Jer. 6:30; Ezek. 22:18] Your silver has become dross,
your best wine mixed with water.

23 Your princes are rebels
and companions of thieves.
EveryoneuMic. 7:3; [Ex. 23:8] loves a bribe
and runs after gifts.
vJer. 5:28; Zech. 7:10; [ver. 17] They do not bring justice to the fatherless,
and the widow's cause does not come to them.

24 Therefore thewch. 3:1; 10:33 Lord declares,
the Lord of hosts,

“Ah, I will get relief from my enemies
y[Deut. 32:41] and avenge myself on my foes.

and remove all your alloy.

the faithful city. ”
