The Supremacy of God's Son

Long ago, at many times anda[Num. 12:6, 8; Joel 2:28] in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, butb1 Pet. 1:20; [ch. 9:26; Acts 2:17] in these last dayscch. 2:3 he has spoken to us bydSee Matt. 14:33 his Son, whom he appointedePs. 2:8; Matt. 21:38; See Matt. 28:18 the heir of all things,f[ch. 3:3]; See John 1:3 through whom also he createdgch. 11:3 the world. He is the radiance of the glory of God andhSee 2 Cor. 4:4 the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power.iSee ch. 9:14 After making purification for sins,jSee Mark 16:19 he sat downk[Luke 22:69] at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become as much superior to angels as the namelEph. 1:21; Phil. 2:9 he has inherited is more excellent than theirs.

For to which of the angels did God ever say,

today I have begotten you ”

Of the angels he says,

But of the Son he says,

the scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your kingdom.

You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness;

10 And,

11 they will perish, but you remain;
they will all wear out like a garment,

12 like a robe you will roll them up,
like a garment they will be changed.

13 And to which of the angels has he ever said,
